About Mark Nelson

Mark Nelson, or ‘Nellie’ as he is known by students and friends across the golf industry, has been entrenched in the golf world for nearly 25 years. Mark started his golf career the same way many of the greatest players and coaches started, in the bag room. It was during this time that Mark’s passion for golf and service began to blossom.

Through hard work and determination, Mark quickly ascended through the ranks to become the First Assistant Golf Professional at one of Massachusetts’ most exclusive country clubs. For more than 15 years Mark worked as a private instructor, teaching beginner golfers, mid handicap players, and highly competitive players of all ages.

During his time as a class “A” member of the PGA of America and First Assistant Professional, Mark was named a “Top 50” Junior Instructor by U.S Kids Golf in both 2013 and 2015 and is a Level 1 TPI Certified Instructor.

While Mark enjoyed working at a private country club, he knew his reach was limited to members of the club. Wanting to share his passion for the game with more people, Mark made the decision in 2020 to provide country club style private lessons to the public.

Today, Mark can be found at his personal golf studio in Framingham giving lessons to highly skilled Mass amateurs, mid and low handicappers serious about improving their game, and beginner golfers of all ages. For Mark, there is no ‘standard’ client, he enjoys the ability to provide knowledge and instruction to anyone willing to take the time to learn. Whether they are six years old or 60 years old, Mark has the experience and passion for teaching anyone how to be a better golfer.
